INGREDIENTS:

List of KissPlanet products:
  • 180g oatmeal

  • 60g almond puree

  • 60g maple syrup

  • 50g slivered almonds

  • 120ml brewed green tea, chai, ...

List of other products:
  • Cinnamon

  • 30g puffed rice

RECIPE:

Combine liquid ingredients; pour almond puree, maple syrup and tea into a bowl and stir.

Add the oats, almonds, cinnamon and puffed rice and mix well to coat the dry ingredients.

Place the granola on a baking tray covered with baking paper (or better still, a relavable baking mat, they are practical and non-stick!) and flatten the dough for a few moments using a wooden spoon, this will allow the flakes to "stick" together during baking and form the granola pieces.

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, keeping an eye on the colouring. Leave to cool out of the oven and break the granola into pieces. Add whatever you like: chocolate, dried red fruit, coconut, etc.

Store in a glass jar or airtight container.

Remarks:

You can easily replace the almonds with any other nut of your choice (hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pistachios,...) and the maple syrup with honey.

If you don't have almond puree available, you can replace it with any oilseed butter, and again, if you don't have any, simply mix in the desired amount of oilseed and the fat in the fruit will bind the resulting paste. It's magical!

Finally, the amount of almond puree and maple syrup can also be adjusted. The puree will give your granola a strong taste and bind it into chunks, while the syrup will have less binding power and will give your preparation a sweet taste.

Knowing all this, have fun with the proportions to find your perfect recipe!

Enjoy your meal!
