Nature & Terroir

Environmentally friendly fruit and vegetables!
"Nature & Terroir" is a family company created in 2010 with the main objective of cultivating their terroirs in Gembloux and Dinant with total respect for the environment in order to offer high quality fruit and vegetables.

Their crops, which do not require irrigation from aquifers, also have a positive carbon footprint for the planet; more CO2 is captured than emitted.

They adhere to the principles of permaculture by applying crop rotations, the association of beneficial plants, without the use of synthetic chemical pesticides.

They work mainly by hand and with small equipment in order to preserve the structure of our soils and all the living things that make up the land.

They feed the land exclusively with a variety of manure, green manure and lime from sea shells; they look after them day after day so that they in turn feed them with tasty and tasty 'old-fashioned' products.

They are also able to offer the possibility of producing the vegetables on request, choosing the most suitable soil for each one.

They multiply and select some of their own vegetables such as tomatoes, melons, squash and pumpkins adapted to their terroirs in order to avoid any chemical treatment.

Diversity and biodiversity are their CREDO.

They cultivate their land in multiple small gardens harmoniously combining fruit trees and shrubs, a variety of vegetables ranging from forgotten vegetables to modern vegetables resulting from their natural hybridizations, aromatic plants and decorative, edible and melliferous flowers.

Frédéric: "Let's stop forcing nature to produce; let's try to be more satisfied with what she is willing to offer us each year...".

Nature et Terroir also produces various by-products such as juices, soups, liqueurs and jams by hand. For example, the juices are pressed in the old-fashioned way using stamens to extract precisely the desired flavours.
