SECURE PAYMENTS

SECURE PAYMENTS

KissPlanet offers a wide range of secure electronic payment options: Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express,…), Bancontact, iDeal, PayPal and EcoCheques and Compliments Tickets from Edenred (with possible supplement via PayPal).

These services are offered through three providers: Stripe, PayZen and PayPal, selected for their ease of use. Stripe, our recommended supplier, has taken very concrete measures in favor of the environment and the reduction of its environmental footprint, which is moreover fully compensated.

All three operate in Europe either directly (PayZen) or through European companies (Stripe and PayPal) and comply with European data protection regulations, the GDPR.
KissPlanet does not store any confidential information about your means of payment, such as card numbers or passwords. Only suppliers do this in their secure infrastructure. All data concerning your means of payment is encrypted and is never visible to us.

STRIPE

Stripe is a technology company that develops a specialized economic infrastructure for Internet payments. Stripe's head office is located in San Francisco and its offices are located in Dublin, London, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.

Stripe is PCI-DSS certified, a global standard that assesses the measures taken to ensure the security of financial transactions. Stripe develops very advanced fraud detection systems.

Although Stripe does not manufacture a physical product (their API powers the online commerce of millions of businesses worldwide), their activities still contribute to global climate change. They therefore decided to take action by measuring their greenhouse gas footprint and purchasing enough carbon credits to achieve zero net emissions. The GHG protocol standard assesses greenhouse gas emissions on three dimensions. Stripe estimated the three emission dimensions in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (TCO2E) to determine the extent of their impact.

Stripe purchased 1: 1 offset from a US landfill. This project operates a gas collection and destruction system to capture and burn methane, a by-product of decomposing waste. With these compensations, the landfill can voluntarily manage the collection system - an expensive undertaking that they might not have wanted or could not finance on their own - preventing thousands of tonnes of methane from reaching the atmosphere. Since methane has more than 20 times the global warming potential of carbon dioxide, and since burnt methane only produces CO2 and water, the bottom line is actually favorable.

PAYZEN

Like Stripe, PayZen is neither a bank nor a means of payment. PayZen is a payment platform allowing KissPlanet to secure your purchase and transfer the payment order from your bank to ours.

PayZen is a supplier of means of payment, belonging to the IT company Lyra located in Labège in France. It is this company that has been chosen by Edenred to manage their electronic means of payment, including EcoChèques.

The Edenred payment pages (provided by PayZen) use the TLS protocol (encryption of all information linked to the card) and are subject to numerous approvals (PCI DSS certification, CB credit card approval, Visa merchant agent approval, etc.) .

PAYPAL

PayPal allows a business or user with an email address to send and receive payments online conveniently, securely, and inexpensively. Their network builds on the existing financial infrastructure of bank accounts and cards to create a global payment solution in real time.

PayPal (Europe) S.à rl & Co., SCA is a credit institution approved in Luxembourg and is subject to the supervision of the Luxembourg authority in force, the Commission for the supervision of the financial sector. PayPal Inc. (parent company of PayPal (Europe) S.àr.l. & Cie, S.C.A) is located in California, in the United States.
