Once upon a time, there was a family full of life, aspiring to the dreams of consumer society. Five children later, in 2016, a flash of realisation struck this family. They found themselves reflecting on the life they had built, the world they would leave to their children.
Memories of a time when people were already talking about climate problems, over-consumption of meat and pollution resurfaced. The family realised that they had closed their eyes and plunged headlong into the frantic rush of modern life. Advertising, long journeys and big cars had taken precedence over their youthful intentions to respect the environment.
The transformation began with passionate brainstorming sessions involving the whole family. Room by room, the house was freed from the superfluous, zero waste became a way of life, a source of satisfaction and savings. In 2017, they decided to leave their respective jobs to think about a sustainable project that could transform their lifestyle into a business serving the planet.
A fresh start
In 2018, KissPlanet emerged, offering 800 sustainable alternatives. Recycled packaging, useful and eco-responsible products attracted a committed customer base. In 2019, the partnership with WeForest planted trees with every order, turning customers into agents of change. 2020 brought challenges, but KissPlanet extended its offer to food products, launching bulk delivery with deposit-refund bags in October. In November, solid cleaning and hygiene products were added to the range, thanks to valuable feedback from customers who shared KissPlanet's vision.
So many years have passed since our beginnings, but the essence of KissPlanet remains rooted in those early orders, a time when each product was a tentative step towards positive change. The oceans of time have brought waves of transformation, propelling KissPlanet beyond its original boundaries.
However, at the heart of this evolution, the original core of support persists. Friends, family, early customers - all those who were the architects of this environmental journey - remain timeless pillars. Their first orders were seeds that sprouted into a global forest of change.
So while KissPlanet has come a long way, the roots of its history are still visible in every product we ship. Those humble beginnings have stood the test of time, evolving with a global community that shares a passion for a greener world.
