10 original ideas to reuse your glass bottles

After many years of use, glass has been replaced by plastic. However, for some time now, glass has been coming back into fashion and not without reason. These are qualities that push us even more to use glass.

1. Use your glass bottle to make a pretty vase

You can either put dried flowers in your bottle or put water and freshly cut flowers in it. The glass bottle will make a beautiful and original vase to complete your decoration in an elegant and ecological way.

2. Use your glass bottle to make a candle holder

A really nice idea for beginners is to recycle your bottle to make a candle holder. It's super simple. Just clean your bottle, paint it (if you want) and insert a long thin candle. You'll have a super romantic atmosphere. 

3. Use your glass bottle to make a lantern

If you like to DIY, make original lanterns with your glass bottles. Picture a summer evening in your garden or on your terrace with these beautiful lanterns around you, very nice, right?  

To make this lantern, you just have to make a hole in the bottom part of the bottle to insert the tinsels.

4. Use your glass bottle as a container for your liquid zero waste products

If you want to switch to  zero waste, another idea is to reuse your glass bottle (of wine for example) as a bottle for oil and vinegar. To do this, simply clean your bottle and take it to your favorite bulk shop to fill it with oil or vinegar. And finally, to put a pouring cap. 

7.Use your glass bottle as a water bottle

Another idea to reuse your glass bottles is to simply use it as a water bottle as long as it has a cap. Personally, that's what I do with a glass bottle of soda drink I bought and it's super convenient! 

You just have to clean your bottle well, remove the label and fill it with water. Be careful not to break it when carrying it, but it's usually quite strong, I think. 

8. Use your glass bottle as a spray for your plants

If you love plants, you probably need to spray them so they get enough water without drowning it. A great idea for reusing a bottle is to make a plant sprayer. All you have to do is buy a spray cap. You'll have a stylish bottle to take care of your plants.  

9.  Use your glass bottle as a table decoration

With a few small lights, candles and some plants, you can make great table decorations with old wine bottles. 

10.  Use your glass bottle to make a water carafe

It sounds simple but it is not only ecological but also economical. You won't have to buy plastic (or even glass) water bottles anymore, you just have to fill your bottle with tap water and filter it if you want to.
