COOK
Cook is a brand of the French company Arcadie.
This adventure began at the end of the 1970s, when organic farming was still marginal. Dominique and Bernard Kimmel launched one of the first French productions of organically grown medicinal and aromatic plants. On preserved land in the Aude region, they began to grow thyme, rosemary, mint, tarragon and basil... In the background, a dream: to set up an economic activity without ever losing sight of respect for man and nature.
The Kimmels continued their business in the Gard region and began importing organic spices, which did not exist in France at the time. The SCOP Arcadie was created, as well as the Cook brand for spices, and the L'Herbier de France brand for MAPs.
In the 1990s, Arcadie's real business became clear: the ability to find all the ingredients that give flavour all over the world. And then there is also the cooking side, the taste for recipes which leads to the addition of dehydrated tomatoes, mushrooms and mixes to the range.
Today, enriched by nearly 30 years of travel and encounters, Arcadie offers more than 250 products packaged under the Cook and L'Herbier de France brands, available in 3,000 French organic shops, as well as abroad.
